Well, it is almost Memorial Day and there will be food, drinks, more food, snacks,
more food, and so on. Since the food is there, and is not likely to go away anytime
soon, if you are trying to watch your weight, you may want to remember that you
can always go back. It is okay that you only eat small portions at a time that just
make you comfortable, and not stuffed. Eating too much causes a multitude
of problems.
One of the immediate difficulties is heartburn. If you go out to eat and there is
more on your plate than you want (and there usually should be), it is perfectly okay
to get the rest of your meal "to go". I know that there are some of you that might
not think it appropriate to get a "doggie" bag when you are out to eat, especially
if you are at an expensive restaurant. I think that if you are eating an expensive
meal that it is all the more reason to take it with you. If you don't agree,
that's okay. I won't tell you to "get over it", at least not yet.
So, I wish everyone a great holiday. Just be mindful of what goes "In Your Face!"
