MOVE IT AND LOSE IT!

Well, it's that time of year again.  Many people are either wanting to rid
themselves of those extra gained pounds that are accumulating during
the holidays, or they are ready to make another New Year's resolution
to get on that diet that they have been attempting to make work for the
past several years.

The evidence is still around that exercise is helpful to increase and
stimulate weight gain, and to help maintain long-term weight loss.
According to the Journal of Nutrition, John M. Jacocic states that:

"it appears that exercise needs to be moderate to vigorous in intensity to significantly affect body weight. Moreover, it appears that improvements in fitness are associated with reductions in risk of weight gain. Physical activity also is associated with improved maintenance of weight loss."

It has also been shown that exercise, although extremely helpful, is not absolutely
necessary to lose weight.  To learn the mental aspects of weight loss, absolutely

Holiday Thinking for Weight Control

Calories getting the better of you these holidays?  Re-think what
your body needs.

1.  Keep mental tabs on those calories that you are putting into yourself.
You do not have to write everything down, but at some point you
will know that you need to stop eating.

2.  Know that the food and "goodies" will be there in a few minutes, hours, etc.
You will not be going hungry.

3.  Drink water in between alcoholic drinks and food.  You will feel more full.
Alcohol actually dehydrates the body, so water is good for you.

These are just a few more tips that can help you to stay in control.

Christmas Party Blues

Do you have the Christmas party blues?  That is when you find
yourself at a party going "I wish I could eat that, but it isn't on
my diet".  Well, I have some good news, don't go overboard on
the deprivation.  Enjoy the party.  Enjoy the food.  Just be a bit
sensible about what you eat and drink.

First,  you don't have to eat everything that you see.  If you see
something that you want to try, take a taste.  Many things you
alsready know what they taste like.  Don't eat anything that you
think is just "okay".  Eat what you really, really enjoy.

Another thing, you never, ever have to finish eating what you
have in front of you.   If you start on a cookie, just take a few
bites.  A piece of cake can be eaten the same way - partially.
Stay aware of what you have been eating.  You can always
spend extra time in the gym, but it is certainly easier to just
eat in moderation.  Chances are, you will probably need to
see the gym a few extra hours any way.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER go to a party hungry.  Always eat
something before you go.  By eating before you go to the party
you will eat what you know is healthy.  You don't always know
what is being served at parties.  Most parties just serve snack
stuff and junk food.  If you go to a party that serves a meal, and
you know what you will be eating, then you can make the decision
about eating before hand.  If you know the person who is giving
the party well enough, you may be able to get them to prepare
your food in a different way (if it is not too time consuming).

Well,  enough for now.  Only 67 copies left before I must end my
free offer.  It is excellent weight control information - a mental approach.

Diet Now? Surely You Jest?

It is almost Christmas.  Friends and family get together, music, religious observance,
good food, and if you are living in the right area, you will even have snow for Santa to
slide his sleigh over.

One of the biggest events (other than gift exchanges) is the food that is put in front
of us.  This is the time of the year that most all of us (including me) tends to put off
the "shackles" of eating right for enjoying most, if not all, of the food amenities that
go along with the season.  If you are trying to control or lose weight, now is not the time
to be too strict with your diet.  It is also not the time to abandon it altogether.
Here are some ideas to help you keep your eating (and drinking) in check.

  1.  Drink a glass of water 30 minutes before you eat.
You have likely heard of this before.  It is a fact that many times when we think that
we are hungry, that we are really thirsty.  The water will help make you feel full so
that you will not eat as much.  Most of us don't drink enough water so this will help.

  2.  Make a mental note of what you are snacking on.
Most of us do not pay attention to what we stuff into our mouths when there is
food and snacks sitting out for us to grab whenever we choose.  Do not lose
track of how many of those gingerbread cookies you have grabbed, or how
many glasses of champagne that you have consumed.  I think I am safe in
saying that the more glasses of champagne that you have, the more difficult
it will be for you to keep track of your snacking.  If you pay attention to
what you are snacking on, you will not eat as much.

   3.  If you find yourself eating too much, walk away for 15-20 minutes.
If you get away from the food for a few minutes, you can regroup and
avoid the "grab and stuff" syndrome.  You will also give what you have
eaten a chance to satisfy any hunger you may have had.  Unfortunately,
many of us do not eat because we are hungry. but simply out of habit.
So, "DRINK, "WATCH", and "WALK".   Identify when your eating
habit is kicking in and you will be much more in control during the
        holidays.

Don't forget my gift to my readers.  It is a weight loss manual for
anyone wishing to control their weight.  I was going to sell it, but -
it's Christmas.  This is free to the first 100 people.  It gives you free
email consultations so I must limit this due to time limitations.
        If interested, Click Here.

The most important thing that you can do for yourself during this time is:

           HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS
     and a wonderful HOLIDAY SEASON!

Holiday Health

It is the holiday season once again.  Once again we are all
confronted with many really tasty food and drink.  Only a
small portion of which is probably good for us.

There is no problem having a little bit of the rich chocolate
cakes, and the cookies and chips and so on.   The key is
keeping the amount that we eat very small.

Decide what is more important, staying healthy or enjoying
yourself to the point that you are injuring your health.

More To Come!

Is the "Missing Link" attacking your child?

If your child has an overeating problem, then British Researchers may
have found a clue to the cause. According to research, if there are some
missing aspects to certain parts of a child's DNA, then that child
will not produce the appetite-controlling hormone Leptin.

There is hope that this will provide some basis for further
studies and solutions to childhood obesity.

If you need help with weight control, fill out the form
and get "The Thin Within". This will only be available for
a short time. It will soon be replaced with different information.
So, Get it NOW!
